Seohyun from SNSD

Her real name is Joohyun Seo, but she is using Seohyun as a stagename because 'Joohyun' sounds bit old when pronounced in Korean.

Her mother is running a piano academy. And Seohyun is also good at playing a piano. Because of that, she appeared many time in different Korean TV-shows by playing a piano. She appeared in Tayeon's stage a s a pianist.

She mentioned that one of her hobby is watching a Japanese animation, 'Keroro' (She even dubbed some of characters in Keroro). In one of Korean TV-show, 'Julchin note' Yoona(from SNSD) says to Seohyun to stop watching animations and cartoons.

Famous for her 'misplacement skill' when she is being recorded as a member of whole group.

Sunny from SNSD

  Sunny is one of SNSD's sub-vocals. It is said that she is very amiable normally, so even when she is not laughing particularly, many people say that she is still looking cute. Jessica(from SNSD) named that amiability as 'commercial amiability'.

Her stage name 'Sunny' was named by her father. She has to more elder sisters, and they are 11 years old and 15 years old elder respectively compared to Sunny. And all of the sister's birthdays are 15th of may(!!?) .

One fun fact is that when she was a little kid, she gone through a war in mid-east area. Her parents migrated to Kuwait, and the country was colonized by Iraq about a half year. Due to the past experience, she is still frightened by sounds of fireworks.

She is a cousin of 'Soo-man Lee'(chairman of SM Entertainment), but she passed the audition by herself. No one knew that she was a cousin of "Soo-man Lee' at the time.

She has a nickname of Smgyu(Smga + Sungyu, Smga is a korean slang of 'breast', and Sungyu is another Korean nickname of Sunny). Actually Jessica was a solid competitor of her, but when Jessica was losing her weight a lot, her breast size has become smaller somehow (...) due to the event, now Sunny is official number 1 position for the breast size.(...)

She was a leader of SNSD from their debut and till year 2009. Since the Rule of being a leader was age, she had to be a leader but she mentioned in one of Korean TV show 'Gangsimjang' at 15th december 2009, that she decided to quit the leader. But still members are mentioning Tayeon as the leader, and now as Tayeon is not mentioning anyting against of the things other members has said, it seems that Tayeon is still undertaking a role of the leader.

She was at number 1 position of popularity voting for girls of Kpop idols from 2008 to 2010. But that also means she has a large anti-fan base as well.

She has a habit of staring body parts of other members of SNSD while on the TV shows. She has a history of raising 'Yuri'(SNSD)'s shirt, or staring at breast and thigh of Tiffany for a long time with smirk on her face.

It is said that her face is not that 'extremely' pretty. But she is more likely a artlessly cute girl. Some anti-fans criticize that her face is 'completed', but mens say that they are fallen to her 'younger sister-like' charm.

Tayeon is relatively small and tiny, but that is because she is always standing next to other tall members. She has actually fairly sexy-cute body.

Due to her distinguishable voice, it is not a hard thing when she is singing during any SNSD songs, anyone who doesn't even know SNSD well to say that it is Jessica that singing right now at that particular part of the song.

She is well known for staying as a singer practitioner for 7 and half years, and she was famous even before she started her career as SNSD. She was one of strong candidates for the leader of SNSD, but 'Tayeon' became the leader of SNSD, and it seems Jessica also does not think that she is capable of being a leader.

She was born in Sanfrancisco, America. She was approached by a producer from a shopping center when she was shopping, and all of her family came to Korea for her future career. She graduated a Korean highschool of foreigners with grades nothing less than B.(Korean grading system is A > B > C > D > F)

Her younger sister, Sujung Jung (means 'Crystal' in english, and her english is name is also 'Crystal') made her first debut as a singer at september 2009. Her stage name is 'Krystal'. Now they are very close sisters, but they were not before they started their career as singers.

Due to her cold looking face, many anti-fans criticize her as cold minded person. But members of SNSD say that Jessicca has actually warm heart, and she cries many as other memebers as well.

She has a serious cucumber allergy. In one of Korean TV show called 'geumbali numoohae', members of SNSD came to Jessica with cucumber bouquet, and she had to throw the bouqet away due to her allergy.

She really likes to sleep a lot. She mentioned at one of Korean TV shows 'Star golden bell' that it would be awesome if there is a medicine which has effect of giving her a effect of 10 hours sleep just with an hour sleep. And 'Yuri'(from SNSD) said her wish is to have a skill of waking up Jessica easily.

It is said that her face is asymmetric and it seems Jessica thinks that as her complex. Most of her pictures is taken with same angle.

Girls day

Girl's Day is a four-member South Korean girl group under the management of Dream Tea Entertainment. The group consists of four members whose names are Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri. Their fan-club is called "Daisy" or "Dai5y". The group debuted on July 7, 2010 with releasing their first MV, "Tilt My Head" and through out the commercial and performances, they started gaining much interest. The group originally started with 5 with 2 different members who were Ji Sun ad Ji In and after two months from the debut, it was announced through the group's official Twitter that Ji Sun ad Ji In left the group for personal issues and two new members would be joining the group. On Sept. 14, the two members were introduced, Yura and Hyeri. Since then, even without the proper promotions, the group made its reputation through out the songs and dance performance. Despite the lack of proper promotions the song itself proved to be quite popular.

Shinee

Shinee  is a South Korean male groups under the management of SM Entertainment, which is the most big one of  entertainments. they are formed in 2008. it consists of Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin They debuted in 2008

since their debut, they were  so loved by noonas. the lyrics of this song expressed the young boys' feeling who fall in love with nuna with sweety lyrics. this stratety seemed like working so that noonas was so enthusiastic about shinee. and they are also for their fashion. their fashion could be summarized as the skinny pants and slim body, which contributes skinny pants and slim body  trend among young people

the sequential songs "Ring Ding Dong", Hello, Lucifer hit the records. especially in Lucifer, unlike previous songs. they showed up  new style like they are not appealing cutiness that was used for targeting noonas,  this new strategy  worked well, appealing noona the new perespective of Shinee

one of music critics commented  the reason they could be succesful is that everytime they come out, they showed unique and addictive dance,which helped  them to get popularity.

Tiffany from SNSD

Tiffany from the Korean group SNSD.

Her real name is Stephanie Hwang, and her Korean name is Miyung Hwang. The name 'Tiffany' is originally the name her mother was trying to give her when she was born (but somehow changed to Stephani due to her father's preference).

It is known that Tiffany and Jessica (from SNSD) are born from the same hospital. (Is this a destiny??)

Her nicknames are Gorapany ('Goraphaduck' from pokemon), Gwadangpany(Gwadang means the sound produced when someone tripped down to the ground), Busutpany(Busut means 'mushroom'). Mainly they are derived by putting 'pany' at the back of some words.

She couldn't win the first price at the 'LA Korean festival' but she has received many business cards from many Korean Idol companies. One of them was the 'SM entertainment' and Tiffany, which was a big fan of 'Boa'(one of famous Kpop Idol) at that time was casted by SM entertainment. Her first roommate was 'Tayeon'(from SNSD)

She is a first show host of the show called 'Sonyun sonyu gayo backsu' from the Korean channel 'Mnet'. (15/11/07~13/06/08) and she let the program to the top program of the channel.

Many people who personally knows Tiffany says that she is a hard learner. Most of memebers of SNSD mention that Tiffany is 'hard-worker'. 'Sohyeon'(a member of SNSD) mentioned that she couldn't sleep few nights because Tiffany was practicing Korean grammars and vocabularies(Tiffany was born in America).

People from internet assume that Tiffany isn't that smart judging by her look, but it seems opposite by looking at the facts that she has learned Korean language and Japanese language extremely fast.

It is said that she didn't get any help from her family because they didn't want Tiffany being a singer, so that she had to come to Korea by herself. Because of that, when members of SNSD are vacant from their home, she has to stay at home because her families are still at the America.

After SNSD moved their home to new one at year 2009, she is using her own room, because unlike other members with families in Korea, she has to store all her belongings in her room, when other members could divide their belongings at home of their family.

f(x) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2009. The quintet consists of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli, and Krystal. Their group name is derived from the mathematical notation which is function. The group made their debut on September 5, 2009 with release of the digital single "LA chA TA". After realsing their first EP NU ABO in 2010, they started gaining popularity for its unique melody. They introduced their first official album Pinocchio in 2011. The lead single off the album "Pinocchio (Danger)" gained their first music program win and was their first song to win the triple crown.

Kara

Kara is a South Korean pop girl group formed by DSP Media in 2007. The group is composed of Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Nicole Jung, Goo Hara, and Kang Jiyoung. The group's name derived from the Greek word "chara" (χαρά, lit. "joy"), which they interpreted to mean "sweet melody".

The group originally started as a 4-member-group and made their debut with "Break It" (2007) while displaying a strong female image and a mature R&B sound. Expectations for the group to be as big as their senior labelmates, Fin.K.L, were extremely high and the members were promoted as successors to them. They released their first studio album titled The First Blooming in March 2007. However, their debut was not well received by the public and was a commercial failure.

The following year, Kim Sunghee departed the group due to parental pressure, and members Goo Hara and Kang Jiyoung were brought in. Davichi is a south korea female duo. they consist of Lee Haeri and Kang Minkyung. The duo was grouped in 2008. befor they debuted. Kang Minkyung was famous for her beauty on the internet. their first song"Hate U Even though i love u" was released and earned "Rookie of the month(February). in 2009, they launched new album"8282". this song brought them popularity among publics. 

in 2010, the new song" stop the time" was recored at top on korean music chart. with this success.they began to show up in many entertainment and korean dramas. in 2011, they have another critical success, collaborating with T-ara. the song "we were in love" was prasied as the new style compaed to the previous songs.

In recent days, they released new album" be warmed". However, unlike the previous success, this song are not loved by publics,   even though the famous rap star Verbal Jint  featured.

2NE1 is a four-member South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment in 2009. The band consists of CL, Minzy, Dara, and Bom. The name 2NE1 combines the phrases "21st century" and "new evolution" (NE).

The group appeared in "Lollipop" with Big Bang as a commercial for LG Eletronics, 2NE1's debut single "Fire" was released on May 6, 2009. Since then, the group has released two extended plays, 2NE1 and 2NE1 2nd Mini Album, and one studio album, To Anyone. T-ARA

T-ara is a South Korean girl group under Core Contents Media. they made debute in 2009.  Before their debut, they were nocited as a  promissing idols. they originally consist of Jiae, Jiwon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon. the first song"good person" was launched for the soundtrack of Cinderella Man in April 2009. after this album Jiae and Jiwon withdrew for the group in junge. they recrited new members"Boram and Soyeon and Qri in 2009.

 the official album was launched in 2009. the song "Lies" was the factor that made them informed to audience. the sequential songs "TTL". "Wonderwoman", was on the top in the korean music charts. however, their most succesful song is remembered as Roly-Poly. when it came out, all teenages  and young people in the South Korea was enthusiastic, which earned several awards.

Super junior

Super Junior is a South Korean male group.they are grouped in 2005 under S.M. Entertainment. when they came out, they are famous for the number of members, because it was not common, having twelve members in korea. the usual number of groups was about four to five..they consist of  Leeteuk, Heechul, Hankyung, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kibum. Kyuhyun joined the group in 2006.

even if they made theirs debute in 2005. the first time they got noticed was in 2009 with the new single album"Sorry, Sorry". this song brought them the international recognition in korea and overseas, such as Southeast Asia.Super Junior has earned fourteen music awards from the Mnet Asian Music Awards, sixteen from the Golden Disk Awards

After this success. they began to divide into small subgroups. unlike other idols, these subunits mainly act as an entertainers. Especially, Leeteuk and Shindong acted as an entertainment guest. Siwon started to be actor, but it was unsuccessful.
they launched new album" Bonamana in 2010 and Mr. simple in 2011. with the success of these new albums. they are noticed as the talented groups.
however, four of them now are in mandatory service so that the active mebers: Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun, are now having a time to prepare new albums and acting as an entertainer, actor.

Big Bang

 

Big Bang is a famous South Korean male group under YG Management.they are grouped in 2006. it consists of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. The music sytle of Big Bang is usually hip-hop. they are famous not only theirs songs but also their fashion sytles. 

their first hit song is Lies(2007). In Sourth Korea, this song maintained at top on Korean Chasts for several weeks. the seond album was also positive. with these two albums, they got so many wards,such as "Best Male group", :Song of the Year" and etc.

From 2009 to 2010, the area of their activity was moved to Japan.  there is another success,
wining awards "Best Newcomer". after these sequential success. they started to branch out. GD(G-dragon) and top collaborated on album under the sub-unit GD&TOP.Seungri and Tae yang began to start solo. Daesung also started to solo and acted as in entertainers.

Two years later, they came out with new album, Blue and Badboy. it was successful as well like previous albums. their sequential success made people think they have the most talented idol groups.

Girls generation

Girls Gneration is one of the famous Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. There are nine members in the group who are Tayeon, Jessica, Sunn,y Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung and Seohyun.

The group gained its interest from the public at the beginning of their career with songs such as "Into the New World" and "Kissing You" but they were relatively gaining less attention than Wonder Girls who were leading the ealy girl group market at the time. In 2009, they gained great popularity with their hit single "Gee", which would be anmed as South Korea's "Song of the Decade". The group made its position in the Korean music industry with following singles "Tell me Your Wish", "Run Devil Run", and "Oh!" from the late 2009 to ealy 2010. In 2011, after having proceeding promotions in Japan, the group returned to Korean music industry with "The Boys", which was relased in three languages: Korean, Japanese, and English for the first time. The group sold more than 11,730,000 digital albums and singles by alone in 2011. The group's huge popularity earned titles "The Nation's Girl Group".The Sisa Journal named the group as the most influential entertainers for the years 2011 and 2012, making them the first female idol group in history to make the list. They have also been listed as #1 on the Top Female Singer's list for 4 consecutive years in a row (sans 2nd half of 2011 at #2) on the Leespiar Popularity Survey in Korea] Asia Today placed the group at forty-four on the 50 Korean Power Leaders list in 2011.
